This design was originally created and hand-painted by Palestinian journalist and artist, Belal Khaled. Before the genocide, Belal would wear his Made in Gaza shirt with pride, a bold declaration of identity, resistance, and love for his homeland. When the genocide began, he continued wearing it but only this time under his press jacket, as he documented the genocide.
We’ve now brought this design to life in collaboration with Belal. On the back of the shirt, we’ve listed the things that are truly Made in Gaza such as resistance, courage, hope, and empathy. We’ve also added beautiful heroes that were made and killed in Gaza, such as Hind, Khaled, Ahmed, and Refaat.
100% of profits are donated to Baitulmaal. The funds will be used for Baitulmaal’s on-ground team in Gaza to supply food, water, medical aid, and other necessities.
100% of profits is equal to $11. This is after our costs of manufacturing in the US, garments, screen printing, transaction fees, rush fees incurred for logistics and transit, and warehouse employee wages to ship the items.
